Speed and efficiency
The Allura 55 cuts through the water with far less resistance. This translates directly to more efficient cruising, higher speeds and with far less fuel consumption.
Volume on deck
Lots of cockpit and deck space. The luxurious space of a 60' to 70' cruiser with the efficiency of a significantly smaller vessel.
Privacy
In addition to room to spread out on deck, the sleeping accommodations are totally separate. Located in each hull, in opposite corners, they offer true privacy and separate head access. There is lots of storage and ventilation.
Minimum heeling
Set your coffee on the table, put the autopilot on and take a walk around the boat. The coffee's still there when you get back to it!
Handling
Dual motors with the added benefits of bow thrusters make handling a breeze in any situation. Manoeuvring into tight berths will not be a problem with the 360 views from the captain's chair and the effectiveness of "all direction" propulsion.
The excellent stability characteristics found in catamarans is due to the increase in beam dimensions. A well-designed twin hull vessel will be so much more stable than any single hull (mono) vessel of comparable size.
With stability you get more comfort and better safety. If you wish to turn an ocean into a lake, the Allura 55 with its 24' beam and narrow hulls will do this with ease; she will steamroll seas others will not even dare venture into.
Experience the luxurious space of a 60' to 70' cruiser with the efficiency of a significantly smaller vessel. The Allura 55 catamaran allows for a larger platform giving the owner far more space to enjoy the benefits of luxury cruising and sport fishing.
More efficient cruising and higher speeds, all with less fuel consumption. Having two narrower hulls instead of one wider hull means the Allura 55 will cut through the water with far less resistance.
This translates directly to more efficient cruising, higher speeds and with less fuel consumption. It is estimated that the Allura 55 will cruise at 20 knots using just 80 litres of fuel per hour and only 400hp of the available 750hp.
While high performance hull shapes are important for efficiency, can they be built to withstand the huge amounts of punishment the marine environment can throw at them. The Allura 55 is constructed with only the best available materials as well as tried and tested build practices.
Specifications for extra strength and peace of mind include the use of Duflex™ composite end grain balsa panels throughout the vessel. End grain balsa has an extremely highest strength-to-weight ratio and excellent mechanical properties, good thermal and sound insulation properties, high impact and fatigue resistance and good moisture resistance.
The Allura 55 wiring and electrical systems are designed with the best available materials and the most stringent work practices and they meet or exceed the highest standards. You can be assured that when you press a button or switch, it will not only work but do so in the safest manner possible.
An engine room fire suppression system comes standard on the Allura 55. The state of the art Pyrogen™ marine fire extinguishers are located in each engine compartment so that you can be assured that safety always comes first.
High standards from a high performance, high quality vessel is what you get from an Allura 55 Power Cat.
